Huong Pagoda Festival

Yearly

Time: From the 6th day of the first lunar month to the end of March (lunar calendar)
Location: Huong Son Commune, My Duc District, about 60 km southwest of Hanoi

The Huong Pagoda Festival is Vietnam’s largest Buddhist pilgrimage and a journey blending spirituality with natural beauty. Pilgrims and tourists travel by boat along the poetic Yen Stream, passing limestone mountains and rice fields, before trekking up to Huong Tich Cave, a sacred site considered “the most beautiful cave under the Southern sky.”

Visitors come to pray for peace, good fortune, and happiness, and to enjoy the breathtaking scenery.

Travel Tip: The trip from Hanoi takes about 2 hours. The best time to go is from February to March when the weather is cool and the landscape is lush. Book your boat tickets early to avoid long queues during peak season.
