Time: 4th – 10th day of the first lunar month
Location: Hai Ba Trung Temple, Ha Loi Village, Me Linh District, Hanoi
Held annually to commemorate the Trung Sisters (Trung Trac and Trung Nhi) — Vietnam’s first female warriors who led an uprising against foreign invaders — this festival is one of the most important events celebrating national pride and women’s heroism.

The main highlight is the solemn procession of the sisters’ palanquins, accompanied by drums, flags, and traditional music. Locals also organize folk games, singing contests, and cultural performances.
Travel Tip: The temple is around 25 km from the city center. You can combine the visit with a trip to nearby flower villages in Me Linh, especially during spring bloom season.
