Different from Bun mam in the West, which is filled with hot broth, Bun mam nem in the Central region is mixed dry and cold. The noodles are served with boiled or roasted pork, both lean and fat, nem chua, beef or pork sausage, and crispy pig ears and nose.

In addition to lettuce, shredded papaya, bean sprouts, and boiled young jackfruit, the vegetables must include basil leaves, Vietnamese coriander, and fried shallots to reduce the strong smell of the fish sauce. The price of each bowl with all the ingredients is only about 15,000 – 30,000 VND depending on the size of the bowl.
