All the places listed here, I think. Have solo traveled Vietnam for many years. I always rent a bicycle and explore the edges and beyond

Hoi An is probably the most solo-friendly city in Vietnam - compact, walkable, super safe, and easy to meet other travelers.

Hi
Vietnam is very solo traveller friendly and a few cities really stand out Hanoi is great for first timers with culture street food walkable areas and an easy social feel Hoi An is one of the most solo friendly places relaxed safe very walkable and perfect for slow travel Da Nang is calm modern and ideal if you like beaches with city comfort Ho Chi Minh City is best if you enjoy energy food tours nightlife and meeting people quickly If you like to plan a bit as you go you can also read one or two books before your trip and I would recommend Wandering Vietnam 2026 by Jason Miller on Ama zon it gives very practical advice for solo travellers city by city plus transport food and safety tips You can also get the ebook for easy download which is handy on the road😊
